We Absolutely loved our stay at the Basecamp Lodge! The scenery was beautiful and the location was great as well. We were just a few minutes away from hikes and the small town. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves nature or just looking to get away from the city life.
We loved staying at Basecamp Lodge and will always try to get a cabin there when we come to Shasta. It was perfect to be able to view the mountain whenever it was out - right form our cabin! We had everything we needed and were very comfortable.
Amazing experience. I love how the room is well designed to the mindful details. The location is amazing, you can see the mt Shasta out of the window. The garden is beautiful with so many nuts trees around. Will come back again next time!
We had a lovely stay. We have stayed at Basecamp Lodge twice when we come ski and we will keep staying here as long as it is available. Very nice apartments with kitchen and all necessities for a comfortable stay for good price. We noticed this time that apartment 8 downstairs heater didn't work; however, we made fires in the fireplace that kept us warm, another observation is that the place might be due for a deep cleaning. The bed is supper comfortable and sheets are clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. We enjoyed the place a lot.
We had a great time and Basecamp Lodge met our needs perfectly. The bed was comfy, the room was large and clean, with a nice full kitchen. It was beautiful there in the fall too, with all of the trees changing color and Mt. Shasta in the background. Good hiking around too. The walls are "thin", meaning we could hear the rest of our loud happy family staying in Cabin 1 next door! Hopefully most guest will be quieter! We would definitely come back.
Perfect location, near the mountain and town. The Peace Garden is across the street. Beautiful, spacious and clean room. Comfortable bed. Easy access. It was a very good value.
My uncle and I spent two nights at this beautiful place and loved it. Our cabin was upstairs with a nice balcony connected to one of the bedrooms. Basecamp Lodge is in a perfect location — close to downtown and right on the way to Mount Shasta. Check-in was super easy with a lockbox code and clear instructions. Each room had its own heater and cooler, so the temperature was always comfortable. Parking is right next to the building, and you can see your car from the balcony. The cabin had a cozy living room with a sofa bed, two leather armchairs, a TV, dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen. Free Wi-Fi worked well. There’s one bathroom with a shower; just note there’s no vent, so the mirror fogs up for a few minutes after a shower. We didn’t use the laundry room or BBQ area, but overall, our stay was very pleasant and relaxing. Definitely recommend Basecamp Lodge for a comfortable stay in Mt. Shasta!
I shared cabin 2 with 3 other women during a retreat Oct 31-11/6. We were with a larger group where the rest were staying downtown. I'm so happy we decided to stay at Basecamp Lodge! I am a frequent renter and was amazed and grateful for how clean it was! The fireplace was used daily as we unwinded from the day. I loved the Lodge feel with the modern touches and the kitchen and house was abundantly filled with extra toiletries. We greatly appreciated the location to the laundry room! The courtyard is beautiful and I spent a lot of time walking the grounds. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and it was quiet. The location to town and the mountain was incredible and we reached everything we wanted within 20 minutes. Last but not least Angela the manager was wonderful to work with and very responsive and accommodating! Thank you for all great stay and we can't wait to book again!
